David Paganie is Chief Editor of Offshore magazine and Conferences Director of PennWell’s Offshore Group. Paganie oversees the Offshore portfolio of print and digital editorial content and global oil and gas conferences. He has spoken at conferences addressing the offshore industry from China, Southeast Asia, West Africa, Middle East, Europe, and Latin America. Prior to joining PennWell in 2005, Paganie served as Editor of Offshore Field Development International at ODSPetrodata; and as an Analyst at Baker Energy. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialty in finance from Ohio University.

CYNTHIA SCHWENDEMAN

Data Management Advisor; Hess Corporation, USA

Cynthia Schwendeman is a Subsurface Data Management Advisor for Hess Corporation, a global energy independent company engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas. Schwendeman has more than 14 years of experience in E&P subsurface data management and is considered an expert regarding well data quality in geological interpretation software.  As the Data Management Operations Manager at Hess, Schwendeman established the asset embedded data management team. In her current role, she is responsible for an integrated data management program of work for the Hess Bakken asset.

Prior to joining Hess in 2008, Schwendeman spent approximately 5 years at Anadarko Petroleum.

Schwendeman holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Louisiana State University. She has served on the Petroleum Network Education Conference advisory board since 2013.

His expertise has been sought by some of the world's most important organizations and his achievements have been recognized internationally.  He has held leadership positions and consulted with more than 75 organizations in 27 countries across numerous industries, including defense, banking, healthcare, telecommunications and manufacturing. He is a sought-after keynote speaker and author of 10 books (latest:  "Your Data Strategy"), multiple other publications, and he hosts the longest running and most successful webinar dedicated to data management (hosted by Dataversity.net). 

Peter is the Founding Director of Data Blueprint, a consulting firm that helps organizations leverage data for competitive advantage and operational efficiencies.  He is also Associate Professor of Information Systems at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), past President of the International Data Management Association (DAMA-I) and Associate Director of the MIT International Society of Chief Data Officers.
