Joel Allard is the Senior Geoscience Data Administrator for Kosmos Energy based in Dallas. In spite of the title, Joel is involved in many aspects of the subsurface computing ecosystem at Kosmos including geoscience data management, application support, and computing infrastructure for Exploration. As an undergraduate Joel studied both computer science and geology and went on to earn a master of science degree in geology. With 24 years’ experience in the petroleum industry as both an individual contributor and a leader, Joel is ideally situated to interface with the geoscience, IT, and petroleum service vendor communities.
