John Berkin holds a B.Sc. (Astrophysics) 1983, an M.Sc. (Amorphous Materials) 1985 and a Ph.D. (Amorphous Silicon) 1989. He joined Schlumberger in 1990 initially in the field of Geophysics moving to Information Management in 1992. He has extensive experience in both the technical and theoretical aspects of this discipline.

John Berkin is currently an Information Management Advisor with Schlumberger. In this role he provides consulting services for clients world-wide. He has an additional role as the Discipline Career Manager for Information Engineering were he assists with the technical career progression of the 450+ members of this community.
