Andrea Martin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 2003 from San Diego State University, California and a Master of Science in Geology from Miami University in Ohio in 2007.

Andrea Martin is managing the Well and Operations Data Team within the Petroleum Organization at BHP, a leading global resource company based out of Australia. She has worked in the petroleum industry for over 14 years providing technical software support, technical sales support, developing and delivering software training, testing and development of industry software. Additionally, she has worked as a consultant at a variety of operators utilizing multiple softwares across multiple disciplines including: information management, geology and geophysics, petroleum systems modelling, and drilling and completions. She has been involved in managing, implementing and leading global technology solutions in these respective companies and domains. Throughout her career she has been involved in managing subsurface data in acquisitions and divestitures. She is passionate about sharing her information management and geoscience knowledge and experience to the next generation data managers.
